The Aldecoa Legacy
One family. 100 years in coffee.
Aldecoa began in 1926, when Carlos de Aldecoa Fernández started roasting coffee in Madrid. The business followed the family to Veracruz, Mexico, and then to Houston, where it has been since 1984.
Today Carlos de Aldecoa Bueno leads the company, with the fourth generation roasting daily on Clinton Drive and packing every bag, K-Cup and pod in our Houston plant.

Madrid, Spain
Carlos de Aldecoa Fernández, born in Ronda in 1903, starts roasting coffee in Madrid.

Veracruz, Mexico
The family brings the business to Veracruz, where it grows to include coffee farms, roasting and retail.

Córdoba, Veracruz
His son, Carlos de Aldecoa Pereda, born in Córdoba, takes the reins and expands the business in Mexico.

Houston, Texas
The family moves the business to Houston and opens a roaster and a coffee office service.

Port of Houston
With Carlos de Aldecoa leading the Greater Houston Coffee Association, Houston becomes a Coffee "C" exchange port.
